On 16 October 2026, Clarence Leung, Under Secretary for Home and Youth Affairs, met 15 youth entrepreneurial teams supported by the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups (HKFYG) under the HYAB Funding Scheme for Youth Entrepreneurship in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. He heard from each team about putting their business ideas into practice. HelloClinic was one of the participating teams, and our colleague presented the company’s latest development and interim achievements.
For HelloClinic, the meeting was an opportunity to report on our progress and share our research and development direction with the organisations supporting us. We wanted to show how entrepreneurial support is being translated into product development that responds to the daily needs of Hong Kong clinics.
Presenting our latest development and interim achievements
At the event, our colleague introduced HelloClinic’s recent development to Mr Leung and demonstrated the clinic management system. The presentation covered our R&D progress and interim achievements, giving the team an opportunity to explain the work underway through a direct, practical exchange.
Our development work centres on how clinics operate in practice. Appointments, consultation records, payments and patient follow-ups are all part of a clinic team’s daily workload. By continuing to improve the product, HelloClinic aims to make these workflows clearer and easier to use, providing practical tools for doctors and clinic staff. Our commitment: all funding received will go towards R&D
HelloClinic reaffirms its commitment: all funding received will be invested in research and development.
This commitment reflects our focus on developing the product. We will continue to direct resources towards improving the clinic management system’s features, user experience and workflows, keeping our R&D work closely connected to clinics’ practical needs.
We see funding as both support and a responsibility. The team will respond to that trust through continued product development and concrete progress, sharing our work through future company news and product updates.
Turning recognition and encouragement into continued progress
The HelloClinic team’s work received recognition and encouragement during the exchange, giving us further motivation to keep investing in R&D.
The Home and Youth Affairs Bureau’s event post also reported that Mr Leung recognised the teams’ innovative ideas and encouraged the young entrepreneurs to persevere. He urged them to make good use of the scheme’s resources and networks to bring their projects to wider markets. For a team continuing to refine its product, that encouragement is a reason to keep making steady progress.
We thank the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau and HKFYG for the opportunity to exchange ideas and for their entrepreneurial support. We also thank the clinic staff who share their experience with us and help give our product development a clearer direction.
Building in Hong Kong and exploring Greater Bay Area opportunities
HelloClinic was previously selected for HKFYG’s Greater Bay Area Youth Entrepreneurship Voyage programme. This meeting gave us an opportunity to share how the company has developed since receiving that support.
In the next stage, we will continue to focus on product R&D while using the programme’s resources and networks to learn more about policies and entrepreneurial opportunities in the Greater Bay Area’s Mainland cities. As we improve the product step by step, we look forward to exploring opportunities for HealthTech and clinic digitalisation services.
