Addressing Pain Points: Solving the “Paperwork” Dilemma
Our award-winning project is titled “HelloClinic — New Quality Productive Forces for SME Clinics.” In an exclusive interview with Wen Wei Po, our founder, Cyrus Chan, shared the inspiration behind HelloClinic.
It all started with a personal medical experience: witnessing nurses frantically searching for old records in piles of physical filing cabinets, while doctors handwrote prescriptions in the consultation room. The illegible handwriting was not only hard to read but also resulted in data that was impossible to search or analyze. These traditional workflows were inefficient and created potential risks for medical errors. This drove us to build a next-generation clinic management system that truly solves these problems.

- Seamless Communication (WhatsApp Integration): With full WhatsApp Business API integration, clinics can automatically send follow-up reminders and vaccination notifications. Data shows that some of our partner clinics have seen a 29% monthly increase in new customers after adopting our system.

Data privacy is our top priority. We utilize Google Cloud technology—the same standard used by banks—to ensure all patient data is encrypted and stored securely, eliminating the risk of leaks.

Unlike industry norms, we do not charge per headcount (user/doctor), breaking down high cost barriers. Currently, over 10 institutions in Hong Kong, including General Practitioners, Specialists, Beauty Centers, and Physiotherapy Centers, have adopted our system.

We are grateful for the startup funding and resource support provided by the “GBA Youth Entrepreneurship Scheme.” Looking forward, the HelloClinic team will continue to optimize our product, with plans to develop features specifically for Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and actively expand into the Greater Bay Area market.
